De Meye, Stellenbosch
Wow! I loved this shoot.
This shoot gave me an appreciation for the colour yellow that I didn’t have. The mustard tones and autumn feel literally give me goosebumps. As a florist, I’ve grown to love working with the seasons, and Autumn is one of my favourites!
We were asked to join the wonderful Event Affairs team on this shoot at De Meye, just outside Stellenbosch. Dehan Engelbrecht, the photographer, did an amazing job as usual! De Meye is a gorgeous venue; it is a wine farm with a restaurant called The Table, and a wedding venue. It is gorgeous inside and out, and the surroundings are beautifully versatile.
We wanted to combine a full and lush floral look with minimalism, so our floral instillation was floral heavy and we had a granadilla vine on the table. The gorgeous stationary was from Lara Friday, and place settings and decor from Two Brids. This gorgeous option also allows for a family style meal as there is space on the table for food.
The Event Affairs team dreamed up this gorgeous setting below with the laser cut table numbers and wreath. The simplicity of this setting is striking, and perfect for the modern, minimalistic bride.
